99 5.4 Engine
Ok,, help me out here guys.. if the 5.4 in the lincoln has 300 HP, why cant we do the same with our trucks without charger kits, free flowing exhaust and chips? how are they doing it? put on a single k and n exhaust and have the filter,, probably need the charger. and one thing about the air charger,, does that make the engine alot noiser?

By charger , I guess you are referring to the Flter Charger K&N kit. If you replaced the factory intake plumbing and installed the open air filter element as I did, yes it will have more sound coming from the engine bay.
As for the 300 HP Lincoln, engine.. you need another pair of overhead cams. Those are DOHC 5.4l engines.
