Tilt Wheel Fix...ouch !!!!!!

FYI....The loose and non-locking tilt column on my 84 was driving me nuts...so apart it came...To fix it properly...Ford parts...Flange...$99.43...2 pins..$31.80...and steering column switch and pawl...$116.93.............It;s back together and like new. This is turning into a restoration !!!

gotta luv my pick and pull yard
one hour in yard to find and pull a good column
$35.00
two hours to swap out old one for used one
new is nice, but for some reason ford thinks there
steering column componets are worth there weight in gold

You're right. I looked aroud here..Could not find anything good..If I had known what the costs were..I might have waited..Mine was loose, ..and the wheel would not stay in position..........I've already justified it !!!...Jv
