I hope this site stays as is I hope it doesnt go all flashy like another site I know of. I left that place because it seemed liked they didnt care about Ford Trucks any more only just the way the site looked after they got bought. I came to this place because its like one big family. You guys have a good site here I hope it stays that way, change isnt always a good thing.

I have really enjoyed the site as it has been the last couple years. So much information, easy to navigate and an opportunity to meet other people that like ford trucks. My hope is that the new corporate owners leave the site as it is. I to like this site compared to the other ford truck site. Corporate america never seems to consider other peoples likes and view points, they just look out for their dollar and how to rip every one else off. Thanks Ken for building such a great site - I hope the new owners will leave well enough alone.

F150online.com has been acquired by Internet Brands, Inc.
Admittedly I didn't read 8 pages of posts before posting this so if it's already on here let me know and I'll just delete it. Are they buying up everyone????

The big day that many suspected would eventually come, finally has come. More than ten years after launching (and continually operating) F150online.com, ownership of the site has officially changed hands. I'm truly excited to announce that F150online.com has been acquired by Internet Brands, Inc., a company that operates many useful and well-known automotive web sites such as CarsDirect.com, GreenHybrid.com, NewCarTestDrive and Wikicars.com. You may or may not have seen the news a few days ago, but they also recently acquired vBulletin.

I find it interesting that on their flash type intro banner,(top of site) they list greenhybrid , a site with 10,538 members, but FTE a site with 418,719 members is listed 1/2 way down.
I know not everyone can be at the top, but who are they trying to appeal to ?
I wonder how long before dodgetalk, dodgeforum and vwvortex are bought.

Some more useless information. Ken is NOT listed on the IB Board Of Directors nor part of Senior Management.
I think most of us have done background checks on IB, their upcoming IPO, business background, etc. This information is readily available on-line through their web site and other web sources.
Now back to the topic of the thread.
Ken when do you expect migration to the IB servers will be completed?
Will the FTE site experience any outages or downtime as this transition is completed? If so, will we be given any advance notice of the planned downtime?

I said it before---I'll say it again....Hopefully Ken, now you'll have more time to "play" on the forums.......Need to stir up "The Club" a bit......Been kind of boring the last few months.......Boy, did we have some lively ones a while ago.......Hopefully we don't have to wait 'til election season.......

My guess is a lot of cash and company stock is being committed to these buyouts...the BIG win for the original site owners will be based on the success of the IPO....if the IPO does not create the funding they are hoping for then I would venture to guess that FTE Club prices will go up and ads will flourish. Business is as business does.
