I found one on ebay If I cannot get it cheaper than that I wil likely do without.

Overhead info center problems.
I seem to have a problem with the digital readout info center in my 99 f-250. It appears the board may be bad, because when it first started going out you could pushe the buttons on and off and get it to relight but nly for a bit.
I know these things are almost useless, but my truck is pristeen but for this problem. So I would like to repair it. Anyone have any experience with these? Any advice.

Good morning
I just fixed my 2000 F350.
You need to take the processor out of the center console, there are a few resistors that the solder breaks away, all you need to do is to resolder them, you will need a small solder gun, but it works fine now.
Search through all of the console repairs on this site, there is a discription and pictures of this repair.
If you want to buy a new one, it will set you back $400 from the Ford guys
