I have a 79 Ford F 150 Automatic 2 wheel drive. It would start in any gear. So I replaced the NSS. I then tried to start my truck but had nothing at the ignition switch. The NSS not only would not let the truck start in gear, but not in park or neutral either. Any ideas as to what I need to do so the neutral safety switch works correctly?
well i have a 77 f 150 and the problem with mine is that everytime that i want to startmy truck i have to take my shifter colum and swing it all the way down to one and then back up to park to start my truck so my problm is similer but i not sure what you can do accept check everything.
I will try that.... I forgot to mention that there was a jumper wire wired into the harness connecting to 2 pins....I guess to defeat the original safety switch.. The ignition switch was also replaced. I was wondering if something could be wrong here.
But I will try what you explained with positioning of the switch and drill bit. Thanks
