New to the list..
My buddy has a 1971 351 clever. We are putting it into a 48 Ford F1(F100?) with a pinto rack. Anyhow, having problem with finding a "rear sump" oil pan. We need the pan, a Lo-profile pump, the pickup tube and dipstick. Who makes one and where, any suggestions? -Thanks

I have a '53 F100 with a 400. When I bought it it had a '71 351C-4V and stock suspension. The motor needed overhaul and I had a source for a 400, so I used the 400 with the 4V Cleveland heads. At the same time I installed a TCI coil-over-shock IFS. It is similar to a MII. I got a rear sump oil pan and pickup from a Bronco with a 351M. I had to buy a special main bearing cap bolt from Ford. I also used a Melling high volume pump.
It fits in my case, but if you are really tight for space or you want to set the engine low, you may have to 'U' the front cross member.
I think that a 351C pan is the same as a 351M/400.
A 1977-82 F-150/250/350 Bronco 4WD with a 351M/400 will have the rear sump pan; be sure to get the pickup and the main cap bolt that retains it. grab the dipstick too; it will have a drivers side dipstick into the pan rather than the front engine block dipstick, which must be plugged. I have one in my 351 C F-100 with TCI Mustang II front end.
