Old truck ?
New member here, looking for input, considering a project, an abandoned 1957 f600 sitting in the woods behind a neighbors, rusty cab, mounts OK, good frame, 2 speed rear, has FE instead of 292 the vin call for, but appears to be all there, no bed or box, 194" wb, anyone here ever tackled one of these before? My question is, is it worth it restoring, or better off as scrap?

Let them mull over that one a bit and I'm sure you will get some responses. A lot will depend on how much work you are willing to do. Passion and desire are capable of restoring rides to showroom specs.

The 'ultimate' questions - What do you intend to do with the truck ? Work it, show it or use it as a LARGE planter ? How easy are parts to get and how much $$ are the parts. How deep are your pockets and how long will it take to restore ? Could go as a small dump or more likely it had a utility box like a utility repair truck. Could also have had a flat bed or covered box like a U-Haul.
