Hello All,

I'd figure I'd post this b/c the incident is so random but has left me upset. Last Friday (the 13th....go figure) I was heading to a buddy's campground to get set up for a shark fishing trip. I get to the campground and notice a huge electric gate that goes from side to side. So I call my buddy to come use his device to open the gate. When he arrives to open the gate slowly crosses my path and I begin to enter. Knowing how some campgrounds are I check the speed limit and want to go that fast b/c some people are crazy. Well, the speed limit is 5mph; and as I enter the campground (mind you it is around midnight now and I am extremely tired b/c of the ride to the beach) and the gate begins to shut on my V10. Leaving two scrape marks about three feet long and a decent dent on the drivers side rear. To top it off I try to get ahold of the place to see if possibly they would pay for it and no one will answer my phone calls. This is definately not my fault and I would like them to pay for my damage so that I do not have to contact my insurance company and pay my deductable and my rates increase. All in all Friday the 13th was a terrible day. I guess when something bad goes wrong something good must follow because the next day (Saturday) we went on our fishing trip and ended up catching a 6 foot Mako.

 

If it hit your truck just think what it would do to a kid?

 

If the gate closes that quick it must be real tough to get a truck with a trailer through the gate.

 

There would be no chance to get a truck with a trailer through that gate. Also, it would be a little tough to get around the campsite with a trailer since the roads are so tight and houses sit on top of one another. I was just venting, I think that it is BS and want my truck fixed but I am sure that I will be paying out of pocket. As they say ***** happens.
