I was wondering how many differnt inertia switches there were in an 87 crown vic that is fuel injected. I know of the one for the fuel lines but I wasnt sure if there were any others. (the car is going into a demo derby). I want to make sure I get all of them taken care of so I'm not sitting out in the middle of the track not going anywhere after a hard hit.
Only one switch,in the trunk, driver's side. We usually just cut and splice the wires together, using a wire connector. Helps to move the battery to where the a/c and blower motor were, and relocate the starter relay.
ill try to remember to post up pics. The derby isnt until october and we just now got the car.
The only thing I am worried about is the whole fuel injected thing. I hope this wont come back and bite us in the butt.
And for the battery, we normally put them on the passenger side floorboard and mount the relay relatively close to that as well. the fuel tank also gets moved inside behind the driver and all doors welded/chained ****.
