This is kind of off the topic when it comes to superduties, but I'll ask anyway. I know theres a lot of knowledge in this forum when it comes to making boost. I am building a single turbo kit for my 5.0 mustang and I was wondering what a wastegate does and what and blow-off valve does. I am using a 70mm turbo. Will I need both of these items, or just one? Thanks for all your help.

Look up Vic_Ferrari in this forum. He's very good at tuning Mustangs and he can probably tell you more than you need to know--LOL. Seriously tho, why are you using a turbo instead of a blower. There are some wicked nasty blower setups for a stang out there that might be much easier to tune. I know Kenne-bell.net has some nasty mustang stuff and they LOVE Fords. Also if one of the mods could move this there is a Performance section here that specializes in A/M turbo's and superchargers--just scroll down the main forum menu a bit and there are some guys there that do what you're doing all the time.
