Wanna guess what pulled into work today?
A 2003 Ford Lightning. It was a black flareside. Man it was nice and it only had 57000 kms on it. I wouldn't have minded to drive this one around. The engine bay is clean and he had a huge amp behind the black/silver SVT seats. I would hate to replace the wide 18" tires on it. I got to do the whole brake inspection on it by my self and of course there was nothing wrong with it.
I also wouldn't mind to take the next door's black Ford GT for a spin. We did have a 37 Ford in yesterday to have the exhaust done but it had a C***y engine, front clip and rear axle.
My friend Rob has one with less than 10000 kms on it - cant recall if its 02 or 03 (dark blue). The first one he had was either 00 or 01 (black). Love that supercharger whine!!!
I would love to have a lightning too. I was contemplating getting one before I bought my diesel too. I came across a really nice 03 in bc for jsut a tad more then my diesel. Unfortunatly I couldnt get both, and I thought I should get a truck for a daily driver first, then maybe get a toy like that in the future.
For me some other toys would have to go and I don`t think I want that to happen for a while.....
Between the 67 mustang and the Lightning I`ll keep THE Stang.
