I have a 84 F250 4X4, 6.9 and 4 speed, I need to R&I the clutch, my question is what clutch do I have?? the parts stores are saying 11" or 12", I can't pull it untill I get the new one because I need to get to work and such,
It most likely has an 11" clutch in it, but a 12" should also work.
In my 86, the 11" and 12" clutch sets have the same bolt pattern (3 sets of 2 bolts each) and either one will work.
If I were you and was sticking with the T-19 4-speed, I'd go ahead and get the 12" if it isn't much more expensive. The 11" stock one will work and hold up fine, but bigger is better....
There is only about a $50 differance in the 2, I just want to make sure I can get everything together and do it all in 1 day, (if I can get the flywheel turned quickly)
If the 12" will bolt right up then a 12" is what it will be.
