repositioning bumpers?

I see many 56 f100's which have had the front and rear bumpers move closer to the body and up. Are the aftermarket brackets available for this or are they all hand made? Can the stock brackets be cut and redrill to accomplish this? Thanks

I know Mid fifty sells shortened rear brackets, at least for panel rear bumpers. The front bumper bolts to the ends of the frame horns which can be cut and redrilled. My rear brackets butt up to the rear spring hangers. I'll be looking at the possibilities of shortening them soon.

My buddy made his own brackets for the back. He moved the bumper directly behind the frame, so all he needed were some "T"s made out of 1/4" stock. As Ax said for the front most that I have seen just shorten the front frame horns and drill new holes as necessary. Since most are moved and/or shortened, I just left mine stock to be different and honor the way Henry produced them. Jag

The rear "hugger bumper brackets" are also sold by John's F-Fun Hundreds, which is where I bought mine. (1-800-252-1956)

If you are interested in making your own, I have drawings of them in my gallery:
