stock wheels and center caps???????

i was just wondering if i could buy an aftermarket center cap from a wheel company that would fit my stock wheels instead of the big ford one ?

not unless it mounts the same way using the lug nuts to attach to. Most aftermarket center caps slip through the center hole in the wheel but since the SD wheel is a close tolerance fit there is no room there for the slip through.

I dont know for sure but heres my train of thought
I have Rickson wheels and they're designed so that if you want, you can still use factory covers. I didnt want
I got Alcoas which go on different, but they work, and I like the look.
Ergo, you could probably also get Alcoas, if you liked the look.

The way they work, your lugnut has a washer at the base which can deflect just a tad; its not whats holding the wheel on. The caps have a lip, the washers compress on the edge of the lip, and the acorns slip over those.
