I am looking to add an aux tranny cooler to my rig. It has the standard one in front of the radiator as well as the radiator tank one, but I think pulling 10K I could use a little extra. Is there an after market that will fit the original mountings in front of the radiator?

You may want to look in the 7.3 Forum, I believe the 6.0 transmission cooler bolts right in place of the 7.3 trans cooler and it's much larger.
I have issues with my tranny overheating while towing. (o3 7.3 crew cab, short box, dually)
I am in the process of switching over to dual 15" electric fans right now, and am going to be getting rid of my aux tranny cooler and switching to a unit that mounts under the box, behind the cab, with dual electric fans on it
Thanks guys. I had heard the 6.0 would work. I was wondering if you need to cut off the fittings and mount them with clamps. I was a little hinky about doing that.

This is a couple responses I have seen from a another site.... I am planning on doing this too...
adapt the 3/8 OD hard line to 1/2 ID soft line and back. you will also need to make sure you keep the loop through the Radiator as it shaves 25-50 deg off the fluid temps compaired to trucks without. I got some air line barbed fitting from NAPA and used them. You also need to make sure you get hi temp Trans line.
remove old cooler (from the top) 4 bolts and replace with the new cooler, same 4 bolts, you do need to change the line size with the fittings already mentioned. You can get 1/2" trans hose from Napa. Put a rag over the condensor or your arm will look like you got in a cat fight!! Unbolt the condensor on the right side will allow you more room to pull the old one out. Taking off the grill will allow you better access to the 4 bolts.
As stated above. The 6.0 cooler is a good route to take. In addition, I also installed a Derale tranny pan after replacing my 1st tranny. It was good for a 10-15 deg.F drop itself before doing anything else.
