Question Do you know the numbers?

Can anyone tell me how to verify the engine block serial number to the VIN? I want to determine if the motor in my truck is the original that came installed from the factory. I have the window sticker, but don't see any connection between the two. Other than going to the dealer and asking if they have any resources for that, is there some data base available on line?

What about hidden VINs? Has anyone found the locations of hidden VINs on the same model and year as mine? I am particularly interested in a hidden VIN on the frame and anywhere else on the cab besides at the base of the windshield. What about the transmission case? Anywhere else?

1995 F350 Dually Crew Cab with 7.3 Turbo diesel and manual 5 speed.

There are a couple of threads in the 87-96 forums that deal with Vin Decoding with links to internet sites in them.
