Post changing rear end ?s

I have a question about changing my rear end in ratio my 95 f 150 iv been told the VSS (speed sensor) is mounted on the housing and ring gear would i be able to move this to the new ring gear or do i have to buy a special ring and pinion for this sensor any way i would like to get rid of this 3:08 for something a little lower thanks in advance

I could be wrong about the 95 but on my 91 the sensor on the rear diff. was for the ABS system and the VSS sensor was on the drivers side rear of the tranny. You sould be able to change the gear on the VSS to compensate for gear ratio changes.

There is no gear for the VSS. But superlift makes a module that you can hook up to your truck to compensate for different gears or different tire size swaps. It's adjustable so even if you have different size tires you run yearly you can adjust it accordingly. The VSS operates on a ring of teeth thats bolted between the ring gear and the diff case, so when you change gears, I believe if you keep the ring in place when you swap gears you should be o.k.
