I noticed a problem lately with my 99 PSD, it seems that when I go to start the truck it is real slow in cranking over almost like batteries are going or dead but it eventually turns over.
I cleaned up battery terminals and it's still the same. I ran truck to my buddy who is a mechanic and both batteries are over their cranknig amps and alternator and everything is charging fine.
I bought the truck with 200K on it and it now has 202K on it and since I bought it on Ebauy I don't really have a sense of the history other than what I got from the dealer.
If the truck needed glowplugs would that cause a slow cranking situation?
Also, check your connections at the starter solenoid, and the starter itself. While doing that, have a look at the connection at the GPR, but only because you're checking things anyway. Might even try jumping the solenoid to see if it cranks better. May just need a new solenoid.
