I am hoping to make it to SIR in August, I just want to track down a car trailer so I can test out the F150 with hauling for a long road trip
I have always been hoping for an 11 second street car and with some tires and a computer tune I should be there.
How ever I will most likly only be allowed to run the car once since after 13.49 convertibles need a roll bar and I don't want to mess up the interior with that
No if I can only save up some money and get the F150 into the 12's then all will be glorious
XPLICIT, where did you get your mods done, or did you do them yourself? Have you heard anything about Able Transmission on Park Street? I'm getting my gears done there, they sounded professional on the phone, and I'm very fussy!
For being a fussy guy, Im surprised you took it somewhere!
You're right, usually I do it myself but the thought of getting thr gears shimmed properly scared me off! I also thought for the $240 price quote, Ill save the headache and have it done by someone who will warranty their work.
As long as you have the service information and the tools they aren't bad. Dana axles are one of the easier ones to setup compared to some of the others. They (ring and pinion) are stamped with a number and depending if the replacement is + or -, you look on a chart to find the correct shim amount. You will still have to play with the carrier shims but that is much easier.
