Question Heater Core Question

Help, how long can I postpone replacing my Heater Core?

After reading one of the other post, it looks like changing out the Heater Core is not a fun task and I will probably end up taking my truck (2000 F150) into a shop to have a mechanic do the work instead of fighting it myself.

How long can I put off having this thing replaced? I drive 10 miles one-way to work each day.

Thanks!

As long as you can stand the smell, fogged up windows and puddle on the passenger floor.

Might have to carry a rag to wipe the windsheild every so often, could try some stop leak. I read the GM stop leak tablets were good. Just a thought.
