Talking New Steps With Pics!!!

Never been a fan of the stock Harley side steps. Found these on the net for about $400 a pair. I think it gives it a higher profile look. Easy install, about 2 hours with 2 beers per. The old ones are for sale if anyone's interested, PM me.

Thanks Guys. They are Kodiak Side Winders. Sorry the pics aren't better. Believe me ,they really make the rig look taller! Not that I go off road much, but they tuck up and away from rocks etc. nicely! Anyone want to know about the install, let me know...Brian

Those look great. You said two hours... any special tools or tricks needed to install? I have stock steps and while very functional, would like to put something in a little...lets say... cooler...

I thought retractable steps were supposed to tuck up under the body completely (hidden from view)? Or some brands do that and some don't?

What are you looking to get for the stock steps?

Nope, just hand tools: drill, sockets, combination wrenches, stripper/crimper. Minor wiring stuff. Measure 3 times, drill once All the hardware was included. Easy job....

2 holes go through the bottom of the body, 1 through the body cross member with a self holding bolt. The switch goes somewhere that the door will compress it( I put it low towards the front). Then direct wire to the battery. I wired one to each battery just 'cause it was easier. Looking to get $200 plus shipping for the steps...Brian

Sorry ,forgot to answer the other question. These fold to the side, Some of the others at much higher prices fold back I think. Worked for me....

The AMP Research Steps are the full length boards that completely retract and are hidden behind the pinchweld.
