Check Engine light
I have a '02 Ranger 4x4 with 4.0 v6, Auto trans 106k miles. The check engine light just came on. I went to Autozone for a code read. Its the Egr flow. I took the EGR off and sprayed some carb clean in it, then bolted it back on, I did check it with a vacuum to make sure it does work. The check engine light is still on. Any ideas before I take it to the repair shop. Will the check engine light automatically reset?

Check the DPFE sensor, as it's a common problem EGR system part & it provides feedback to the computer that affects the EGR valves flow.
