Engine Swap Question...
I have a 99 5.4 v-8 truck, my question is probly stupid, but how difficult would it be to swap out the stock engine with something a little more aggressive? like with a power stroke or possibly a v-10. just a thought. thanks for your time.S

ANYTHING is possible. It is just a matter of how much work and money you want to put in. I saw a jeep wrangler with a viper v10 stuffed in. I would plan on putting the vehicle out of commision for at least a month though, thats how long my 302 Ranger project took. That was easy though...

An easier way to put it...
How Fast Do You Wanna Spend??
You don't need much, just an engine, and the
ECU, and any wiring diagrams that will relate...
You'd be better off buying a Truck with the
engine already installed...

You don't need much, just an engine, and the
ECU, and any wiring diagrams that will relate...
You'd be better off buying a Truck with the
engine already installed...

Engine Swap Question...
After seeing a chrysler PT Cruiser with a Viper v-10 stuffed under the hood at the recent SEMA trade show I would have to agree that ANYTING is indeed possible.
In this case I feel that the cost to perform the swap properly will exceed the value of the finished product.
Thus the recommendation of just buying a truck that has the desired engine sounds like a good option.
Be advised, there is a way to get performance out of your existing 5.4L that will likily have your excitiment with your current truck rekindled. This option will also be much less expensive while being less time and labor intensive.
I suggest you check out SuperCharging. Go visit www.kenne-bell.com or www.magnachager.com or www.vortech.com or www.paxton.com or . . . .you get the point? Great improvements in HP (50-100 HP) with correspondingly great increases in torque (100+ lb-ft across the RPM range)
