New guy with questions
Just joined tonight and need advise from the experts. I'm considering the purchase of a 2000 f150 xlt (2wd, stick, 4.2 v6, long bed, cap) with 162,000 miles on the odometer. This would replace my '94 Mazda (Ranger) B3000. This truck has 569,000 miles (NO JOKE!) on it. The good service this truck provided has me shopping in Ford land. So, what are the "soft spots" on this 2000 xlt? (What should I look at closely?) How reliable is the 4.2 v6? What would be a fair price? What gas mileage are conservitive drivers experiencing?
