V-10 to Cummins
The V-10 in '00 Excursion 4x4, started to knock on the way home from work. So I am considering the Cummins swap. Which engine will be best/least troublesome. I have a '98 12v or '01 24v.
What are the toughest obsticales I will have to deal with.

the 98 12 would be less work. It has less wiring and I think a more reliable engine. If you are going to do the swap I would also use a NV4500 trans. So you will have a few months of work ahead of you.
