Smile 95 to 81

Hello everybody,
Have any of you ever tried swapping the doors from a 95 to a 80-86 I found a pair of nice doors off a 95 for a good price and they sure look like they would like they would work on the 81,I am just talking about the sheet metal not the panels ect. Thanks Aaron

There is a difference, but I don't know what it is. I say this, because if you look at replacement doors at a vendor, they have different part numbers.

The difference is in the vent window size, which was larger in 92-96 models. This also changes the main glass size. If the door is whole it should bolt right up.

I had 95 doors on my 85'. The green ones in my sig. I have 90' doors now(white). They will bolt on, with only one small mod needed to use your old door panels.

i have 93 doors with my 87 pannels on my truck... and i needed to cut where the handle was a little wider, or it would rip the panel off every time.

Thats odd. My 85 panels fit the 95 doors perfectly. I am still using the 90 door panels on the new 90' doors I installed until I mod my 85 panels to hold the PW/PL switches.
