Adding windshield chrome

I have a 77 custom cab that at the present does NOT have the chrome trim around the windshield. Has you can tell if you look at my gallery I will need to replace the weather stripping when the body work is done. Can I use the weather stripping that accepts the chrome strip or is there some thing different about the body the needs to be done first?
Thanks AL

You can use the weatherstrip that accepts the chrome strip. The window weatherstrips are all the same size, the only difference is that the one that accepts the chrome strip has a groove in it where the chrome slides in.

Have 65 standard cab and wanted the intall the stainless trim that came on the custom. Purchased the grooved gasket and had shop install. They used a sealant when they installed the glass, this was a few years ago, and it has not leaked since. If a 'do it yourselfer' there is an article on how to install windshield in the FTE article/spec forum, but looking for 65 replacement can be as difficult as finding hen's teeth so decided to not take the chance.
