I'm building a set like on my 75 (just the standard flames 18-24 inchs) for my sons 78 Bronco. I posted a picture on my user gallery, Little Black, name Broncoman85, I sure could use some help with the identity of the component in the lower right had corner of the flamebox. Thanks Whit
I know this sounds stupid but I need to see the front of the box. I am tring to figure out the path electricy is going. I noticed the dual diodes and wiring in parralel. Does the blue box have anything on the front or is it hidden on the back?
Can't help you with that, but I noticed your Denny's shaft.
Denny's shop is a block away from mine, he builds BULLET proof stuff, if you break it he'll replace it, he is one GOOD dude.
I've know him since I was 15,(20 years now) he is a good friend of mine and he does all our race shafts.
Let me tell you he is one crazy mf!!
One short story....Guy comes in with his shaft in his hand, says you messed this up, vibrates bla bla bla etc, lots of profanity flying, this guy is pissed!! Denny says, tough I can't help you, guy is just going nuts, throws it on the floor and walks out, Denny picks it up, walks outside throws it through the guys windshield (Not lieing)
Tells the guy he's a Ahole and that he's at the wrong place...seems he had it done at another shop.!!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Apr-02 AT 00:04 AM (EST)]Thats all there is, the blue box is glued to the top of the box, it has the diodes wired in on the ground side of the dodge ignition componets of which there are two one for each coil, these make an audible buzzing sound when the box is activated. The big black wire in the photo goes straight to ground and the small black wire ties into the incoming hot. Thanks Whit
Oh and I got the idea from talking to Denny on the phone that he was super cool. Haven't been running the driveshaft but about 3 weeks now and have no complaints....ripped out 3 rearends, but the shaft just keeps on spinning...lol.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Apr-02 AT 02:55 PM (EST)]It looks like a relay upside down. The type/info should be silk screened on the other side. If it's glued down you might be out of luck reading it.

It probably is a relay if you hear it buzzing. You can wire a relay
to energize its own coil through its own contact points. So when the relay is energized it opens up its own power supply thus shutting off the relay then that closes the contacts and the relay is re energized
then that opens up the relay power supply again. This all happens very fast thus the buzzing. This also duplicates the action of a set of ignition points.I can post a diagram of how to wire a relay like this if you are interested.
