OK is there a difference in a 99 computer and an 03? The plugs are the same and everything else looks the same. I put the 99 computer in my 03 and the miles to empty lookslike it is set up for maybe the big fuel tank because it says I have 500 miles to empty at fill up and I only get 350 miles. My7 old computer wa right on. My old computer works but I did the chip repair and now it will not dim and the miles to empty reads 0 all the time. Any ideas? I would like to make one work properly.

 

I don't know but my 2000 Excursion always did the same thing. Coasting downhill i'd be getting 99.9 mpg. When i filled up i always had 999 miles to empty. I barely trust the thermometer depending on sun or shade. Compass seems to be the most reliable. I wonder if the zone settings have anything to do with accuracy. I wonder if it expects to see a specific size, or if it goes by percentage. I imagine someone on these forums knows.
