Here's my situation; I have a '93 F150 5.0L EFI. All stock. My question is: What 2 or 3 mods can I do (in my drive way) to give me more passing power on the highway and pulling power up steep grades (20' camper trailer) without sacrificing fuel efficiency. (I am used to my 12 - 14 MPG).
I already have: K&N filter, new plugs, cap, rotor, wires, O2 sensor, and advanced timing to 12 BTDC.
Sounds to me like you are looking for more torque at the tires instead of horses under the hood. Step the gear down a notch or two. If you have 3.27 gears go to a 3.55 or a 3.73. If you have 3.55's go with the 3.73 or in extreme cases the 4.11. Definitely dual exhaust though.
Hmm...yeah, new exhuast, ignition stuff, performance chip, MAFS and cold air intake to go with the K&N filter. But all in all...I'd say change the gears.
First thing I'd go for is the Mass Air conversion
from Ford Motorsport, that would be a good baseline to
start modifying the rest of the engine/drivetrain...

It is a starting point, not a true modification,
but it will allow you to add more mods than the
speed density system, I have seen MAP systems go
seriously lean when headers were added, this is bad
for the wallet...

well if you looking for more power you can always go with a forced induction ... just go with a lower horsepower to save on gas ... it's not the best for your wallet but it works ... better than the 30 hp dual will add ...
