New injector next??
Well, I have installed new injectors, return line kit, fuel filter and CDR valve (Lance Cuningham Ford didn't know what a CDR valve was?) and still getting blue smoke. I haven't found the timing mark for the pump yet but I hope to check it if I can find it. I crawled under truck looking for any signs of leakage, didn't see any. All injectors are now working, checked by cracking them all but still getting blue smoke. The smoke smells like diesel not oil. It all started with the changing of the fuel filter, thats when it started smoking. It starts hard, them may quit,then restart and miss. Seems to have more power when going done road???? Do you all think I need an injector pump or ????

when you took the old fuel filter off, did you check to see if it had the old gasket on the filter and not still on the filter head? i have changed some and caught myself when it wouldn't seal up..and the truck blew blue smoke.........and leaked fuel it'bbe worth looking into. sounds like air to me.
i have noticed that its the simple things that cause the biggest headaches. the over looked..........don't feel bad i have done it. i do so many trucks now at work when schools out, that thats the first thing i check if it tells you anything about that.....alot of them tend to stick and break off the filter.

If the smoke smells like diesel then i would wonder if one of the new injectors isn't quite up to snuff and is squirting instead of misting into the cylinder. And yes if you have a lot of miles then an IP might be needed. Also as mentioned check the fuel filter again for peace of mind.
