quick question
I am changing out my rear end on my 97 f150. I have found a entire rear end which matches the bolt pattern for my wheels its out of a 98. my question is if it is a 9.25 will it fit even though I have a 8.8? now I am talking the complete rear here axles and all I am taking out the whole piece and replacing it

It should bolt right onto the leaf springs. The only thing you might have a problem with is the driveshaft. I think the differential is a little longer than that of the 8.8 (the pinion length), so you might need a shorter DS (or find a truck with the same wheelbase and drivetrain as yours that origionally had the 9.75 and take that DS and use it)
