I have an 01 CC 194k over the last 4 months a ghost has stopped my passenger side locks from working. The frt will work as it deems fit but the rear wont try. In addition the frt passenger window will not roll up. I havent tackled the lock issue yet, but the window motor has been
swapped with back on same side
switches from ss swapped
sw from opp side swapped
swapped w/motor working in diff. 01 CC
sw from same swapped
It would be nice to get fixed. Any ideas?????

Reason: post name
Did you try checking power to switch or ohm out the connector ? If its doing the same thing after swapping out the motor and switch it almost has to either be in the wiring or a voltage loss. Hope this helps. Just a thought. If you suspect a bad switch just put a jumper across the two terminals. If it works then you know the switch is bad. If not make sure you have 12 volts @ switch.

With an 01 it could be a GEM issue (Generic Electronic Module) it is above the fuse panel under the dash.
The generic electronic module (GEM) is the only multifunction module on this vehicle.
The GEM constantly monitors its subsystems for concerns. If a concern is found in one of the subsystems, the GEM will record the concern in the form of a diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
The ignition switch position is very important to the GEM function. Often times, erratic or unexpected GEM function can be traced to problems with these GEM inputs.
The GEM controls a variety of systems:
4-wheel drive functions
front and rear wiper/washer
warning chimes
keyless entry
interior and exterior lamps
power windows
