I can't give you direct experience on an f-series, but an e-series I would rather kill myself. NO joke. to do any a/c work on a e-series with a 6.0, you need arms the size of pensils and can bend in no way that god intened. hope this helps....lol.

Aargh! E-Van AC condensers! 
I've never done an 03, but the earlier ones weren't too hard. You'll have to pull the radiator (likely the fan and shroud also). The condenser will be wide open then.
