Injector problems-4 of them!!!
history...
04, F250, 6.0, auto, 81k miles, 80mile RT to work, Banks Monster with cat, Juice Attitude (never above #3-drive), EGT always below 1250, i drive it like an old lady and change fluids/filters (delo 400) as required...still under warranty (100k) and EGR intact...
issue...after a 950 trip towing my 11k lb 5er at about 25 miles from home, light smoke developed and increased to heavy black smoke by the time i reached the dealer near my home...#4 injector failed...dealer replaced and i changed oil and all was well for 14 days...started truck (had been sitting for 48hours while camping) to tow 5er back home, again light smoke that developed into heavy black smoke at freeway speeds (60mph towing)...back to dealer to find that 3 more injectors have gone south...
update...found that #5 intake rocker had cracked taking #5 injector and peening rocker casting/stud and intake valve...remedy, replace head & all rockers/ valves, injectors/injector harness...
