i have a grimmer shmitt compressor its a 302 motor now my problem is the left side of the motor is the side thats a motor the other side is the compressor side we lost power in it so we did a compression test all 4 cylinders were fine but then we put compressed air into the cylinders air pissed out of the exhaust and the intake valves now we had the head rebuilt new valves, springs, put it all bacl together and BAMM ##### still does it now were getting a little pissed at this thing we have sunk alot of money into it and its still doing this anyone got a idea on what might be this things problem? thanks guys
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Apr-02 AT 08:30 PM (EST)]Dumb question but was the head checked for cracks? Some places will gladly rebuild your head without checking for cracks. You know to keep customers coming back. Sounds stupid I know but it's happened to a friend of mine who almost reinstalled the head then took a closer look at the head and found a crack in it. Another thing check your piston rings with oil. Pour some into each cylinder and repressure check the cylinders with air. If it quites down you have a seriously bad set of rings.
What were the psi's on all of the cylinders? Not just the bad side. Also did you plug the hole in the back of the heads were the emmisions plumping would normally go?
