Hello all
Being in a forum of any kind is new to me. I had a '54 Ford short bed p/up in the 70's that I loved. I pulled the dead six and put a 312 in it and fat tires on it. No grill or front bumper, faded red primer but no dents and a tired mounted on the side of the bed. kept the original 3 speed trans. It was tons of fun. After getting married, I sold it as I needed the money. Never forgot it.
Two years ago, I happened upon a very forlorn looking '87 Ford short bed 2wd F150. I was not looking to buy a verhicle of any kind but it truly looked sad as it sat there by itself, used and tired, with puddles of every fluid underneath it. For $300, it was mine. I know this is not the same as the '54 in terms of collectibility but for a variety of reasons (too many to list here) I have decided to keep and restore this well worn truck. It has a 5.0 and C6 trans.and runs very strong now that the leaks have been fixed ($1500 - no, I am not rich or even nearly so)!
I have a lot of questions that I can't seem to find the answers to so I will give y'all out there a try. Thanks in advance. drkiii

Nothing beats a good project truck and the feeling is even better when you take a tired ride and breath new life into it. Checkout the tech forums and feel free to post questions you have about your truck. I also encourage you to use your gallery to post pictures so you can see your progress. For local support and information stop by your state chapter. I have it right here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum158/
