EGR Valve

I need to know if the throttle body on the 5.4l and the 4.6l are the same and the egr valve assembly behind that... basically from what i can see they look exactly the same and the just moved the postion of the return for the exaust and also moved... basically it has been rearanged but uses all the same parts..

Well, MACperformance shows the same 75mm TB for both engines so they may be the same. The only difference may be the blade diameter on the stockers. My 5.4L one measured 68mm with a pair of calipers. You might compare the blade sizes and if different, use the bigger one.
I'm curious to see how this thing launches with the 4.6L torque converter in it!!!!

Blade diameter? you mean the butterfly? The reason im wanting to swap them is to gain some clearance and also the mounting of the 4.6l idle air control and EGR are much better than they are on the 5.4l....

Oh and yea i bet it will leave pretty hard... at least compared to a stock 5.4l..

I don't know what the setup feels like for a true stock 5.4 but I have the 5.4 with the 4.6 torque converter and the 4R70w tranny and it does have a pretty good take off. The wife spins the tires all the time. Lead foot. In matter of fact, thanks to my wife, I had to replace my spider gears.
