Guess I have it pretty good. Here in Maine, plates are a 1 time cost of $25, vanity or not. If you get a vanity plate, it's $15 a year after that.

Illinois has no additional charge last I checked as long as you use numbers and letters.
Mine says XCESIV and is a $15 donation to local school district each year. Did it at the height of gas prices couple years ago.

That's the whole idea (wives just don't understand). As long as you know, let 'them' figure it out.
PA vanity plate is your normal yearly registration fee plus $20 (1 time) for the plate. In PA the X qualifies as a 'station wagon' and the car fee instaed of the truck fee. About $30 cheaper if I remember correctly.

I just ordered mine finally, i was gonan get it when i bought the truck but teh dealer was beingw eird about ordering vanity plates.
This is on teh "enviornmental" plate, so its a lil more $ but it gets donated to the tree huggers.

Your right Monsta, it's not fast and doesn't handle the best, I did it more for the WOW factor I get when someone gets in for the first time and goes for a ride. I mean driving your living room around with a sound system as good as any nice home theater, and as comfortable as your ol' lazy boy just makes me feel all fuzzy.

Well, LOW MPG is taken in NC and not only that, they don't have a "theme" plate that holds over 4 letters 
I swear this state sucks!
Anyone have any cool suggestions for me for my tag that I can try?
