supid rear-end question

<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->

Hey guys I know this is a stupid question; but here goes. Everytime I go around a corner and put the hammer down the rear wheels just hop instead of spin. Whats the deal with this?
Thanks!

Do you have a lift, or anything like that? These trucks pretty much all came with blocks from the factory, which is a good recipe for wheel hop. Adding a lift kit, with larger blocks makes it worse. I would say time to whoop up some traction bars.

hop sucks

Get used to it. For whatever reason. . . its hard to get rid of. I have a lifted truck with just the stock block(and new springs), I fabed up some traction bars, and I put in an air locker. . . and found it very hard to keep it from hopping. if I get them spinning fast enough(which is hard with our rpm range but second gear will do it) then they will smooth out like glass. Seems now when powersliding a corner. . . it will not hop anymore. . . but I would suggest ladder bars. . . which is my next project.

thanks, guess I'm just used to gas motors with quicker throttle response to get the tires spinning quicker.
