Don't do it!! Take it from me no matter which company you go to local parts store, internet, whatever. You will never be satisfied with it unless you rebuild it yourself. "Manufacturing" is just exactly that an assembly line where time is money. Trust me I've been through three motors from just one company within the last year. The only inconvenience warranties save you is the fact that you won't have to shell out $1400(average) for the rest of the duration of said warranty. Tom Monroe has written some wonderful books on how to rebuild and modify our beloved blue-oval-blocks. I highly reccomend you grab them, find a good machine shop nearby, and tackle this one yourself. Renew your vows to your Ford!! Remember, you always get what you pay for.
