Getting pully off the vacuum pump

I'm having a hard time getting the pully off. Does anyone know how to get it off?

There is a puller made that has jaws that grip the rim in the center of the pulley. I had to use it about 2 weeks ago when I had to change out my vacuum pump. That puller makes the job easy.

I had the same problem,I took the old pump and the new one to a mechanic and paid him
$15 to remove and reinstall the pulley much easier that way.

i find it is easier just to buy a new pully from ford for $22.

a good machine shop should do it for you then press it on the new pump i dont think it will me to much money

A power steering pump pulley puller costs about 19 dollars.
Sometimes you need to take a grinder to the outside of the puller jaws because of how concave the vacuum pump pulley is.

The same tool puts the pulley back on the new pump.

If you plan on keeping the truck and driving it a lot, buy the tool.
You will be replacing the vacuum pump again.
10 minute job with the correct tools to swap pulleys.
