I was curious to know when they added washer fluid option to the Ford trucks and has anyone added this to thiers, particularly the 56 f100, I didn't notice one on my panel when disassembling my panel but then my memory's not so good.

My '53 shop manual shows a windshield washer listed under miscellaneous accessories. It is a foot operated pump, with the washer outlet at the center of the hood. The fluid reservoir is a glass jar held by a metal bracket mounted to the drivers side firewall near were the wiring harness comes through.
My '59 Merc had a bag on the inner fender, and a hand pump clamped under the dash. I've mounted a reservoir off a '71 F100 to the inner fender on the '57 panel; it fits quite well just behind the radiator mount. One mounting bolt needs a spacer, but the other 3 tabs fit flat on the inner fender.
I may, some time in the future, be remanufacturing the correct washer spray button for the hood on the mid fiftys trucks. Ill be posting the project here if I get it started. Originals are hard to find.
