Rear Bumper Brackets

Hello. This is my first post. I have just completed having my 1979 F-150 XLT with 460 motor restored. One of the final things I wish to do to bring it to stock is the rear bumper. I have ordered the rear contour chrome bumper from an obsolete place. I know the brackets are hard to come by, here is my question.
In the master parts/illustration catalog, I feel the brackets I need are pictured in section 176 page 3 bottom of the page. I think the part numbers are as follows:
(RH) D3TZ-17787-C (LH) D3TZ-17788-C ----INNER
(RH) D3TZ-17795-B (LH) D3TZ-17796-B ----OUTER

The bumper is the 37.5 inch between chassis width. I purchased brackets on ebay from a 1978 Bronco. They look similiar but the tongue which bolts to chassis is not as long as the illustration picture. Have I bought the wrong brackets ?

Thanks
Kirk

I had a similar problem finding brackets after a guy rear-ended me about a year and a half ago. The only way that I could get the right setup was to find some in a junkyard. I had to call about a dozen places, but found what I needed. Simple to clean up, and you're there. Welcome to the site.

ouwinner - As stated above, I'd check out the local 'yards'. Probably less $$ too. The "yellow pages" may be the best bet, and you may find some other parts, etc. that you want - or use the 'specimens' as an example/comparison. And also, welcome aboard - Keep the wheels turnin' and on the down side.
