got a date for surgery

cartilage transplant and a allograft (bone replacement)
i have ocd in my right knee which they are removing the section of bone and replacing it.
ive had three knee scopes in 2 years and have no cartilage left, so there doing a transplant.
i was supposed to have this done in april, and they called me the night before the surgery to tell me that the donor failed for diseases.
this ought to be a fun one to do rehab on. good thing for cute physical thereapists

Best of luck! I hear there are more man-nurses around now, so don't get your hopes up on hot nurse action 
I never knew they used donor tissue for that kind of thing. . .my aunt has had her knee caps replaced 2 or 3 times, all of them artificial. . .

Yeah, good luck. Look on the bright side, the worst case is you'll need a total knee replacement, and mine so far after 4 weeks has been a cinch. I was just outside today mowing and blowing the yard for my kids birthday, no pain whatsoever. This thing is smooooth.
Only real pain I've had is in the PT trying to get back range of motion lost along 33 years.

thanks alot guys it really means alot to me, i wont be on here for a couple of weeks im rehabing up at my moms at the cape. there computer is in the basement with a steep flight of stairs to the basement, not something that im interested in.
but ill definately let ya all know how im doing.

well best wishes and a fast recovery hubby had both knee caps replaced also when he was in active duty in the army has one porcelin and ceramic was ran over by a tank in the sand which is what saved him more than any thing the dr told him to get roller blades for therapy. Keep us posted on how things are ok. sorry about the spelling there. lol
