I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the grill insert is removable. I'm thinking of trading my '05 SCab with 4wd problems on an '07 SCrew. With the 0% offer, I can get in a new truck for less than I'm paying now - with nothing out of pocket.
Anyway, I had bought an FX4 grill and put it on my XLT. I can trade my XLT back in with the original grill, but if I get a new truck which isn't the same color, I'd like to swap the grill inserts.
It's been a while since I looked at the insert, but it didn't appear to pop right out.
It should come out, but I don't think "pop" is the right description. There is a bunch of plastic tabs and what not that are probably a real son-of-a-biscuit to get unlatched without nearly breaking something.
