05 Front Seats?

I have the 05 F-350 with buckets up front but now we want to go with the 40-20-40 seat up front. will the center sections fit where my center console is now and will it attach to where the arm rest are to fold down? has anyone here done this yet and where would I find the center seat?
Thanks.

I am not that familiar with the bucket setup, but my 40-20-40 (and most aftermarket that I'm aware of) sits on a single common frame. One solution that I used to sell, though, is a single fold-down middle jump-seat/console that would go in place of a factory console. It was made by Qualitex mfg. out of Texas. They don't sell direct, so you'd have to find a "local" retailer, but they might be able to direct you to their nearest dealer. Check their website for contact info. They have most of the OEM factory match materials - nice stuff!

The center seat will bolt in place, it uses the same mount points as the center console/front seats. A few people have done this. You have to remove the armrests on your captains chairs and you will have a hole in the material where they used to be. It is pretty well covered up by the center seat though.

You may want to try to find someone with the same interior color/material and swap the whole front seat/console setup. I believe a few people have met on here and done that.

I've seen a few of the center sections on ebay in the past month.

Couldn't you have found the seats in that configuration wehn you bought your truck? just curious
maybe only available in an XL or XLT trim level, right?
I prefer my bucket seats!

I have saw lariats with 40-20-40 seats
the nice thing about the XLT and the reason I drive one is they mostly have fabric covers

my 05 was a sport package and at the time we bought it the buckets were great but now the kids are older and the 40-20-40 would be best. I want to keep the center console so i can re-install it later. thanks for all the info

Hello, I am still looking for a front bench seat. I have been talking to almost every wrecking yard from Reno to Sacramento and still no luck.I was hoping that someone might have a lead on a bench seat in the Northern Nevada or Northern California are.
Thanks

Paul, what color is your interior?

In my 06 F-350 Lariat I have the 40/20/40 bench with tan leather. I have just bought an 08 center console to replace my middle seat with.

Toyota_hauler you can get the bench seat with any of the trim levels, it is a personal preference.

I haven't gotten it in yet. I just got shipped yesterday. Hopefully I will get some free time this weekend and be able to install it. Once I get it installed I will post a thread with some before and after pics of the install and tell everyone how it came out.

Just checked my tracking number and it is supposed to be delivered today, which with UPS that means tonight. So I will start taking my jump seat out today!!!

alright, the console came in today and I was able to get it installed. Let me tell you guys this was a very easy mod. Everything lined right up and bolted right in place. Wasn't able to get any pics yet, it got dark on me as I finished. I will post a thread tomorrow with pics.
