C-6 noise?

C-6 noise?
When coming to a stop sign in drive and slowly come to a stop i get a somewhat harsh shift to first. Then in stop and go traffic at idle in drive and in first gear i hear a rumble almost sounds like a box of rocks very slight but still there. Also if you put it in 1st give it gas up to about 20 mph let off and hit the gas again you get a very sharp clunk. But only in 1st. The tranny shop replaced the transmisson with a reman and i still have this issue. They said it is normal C-6 operation. What would cause a clunk and noise like that?

Rumbling from driveline, clunking in driveline = Have a two piece driveshaft perhaps?
D9TZ-4800-A .. Kit, Driveshaft Center Support (some here call it a carrier bearing).
Harsh downshifting: Normal C6's don't do what you describe, I've owned about a dozen Fords with a C6, and have never experienced that problem.
Also = check your left front motor mount.
