should i rebuild it??
micheal t.i have a 5.0litre /302 in my truck,i got it from a 1985 cougar,the motor had approx 90,000. miles on it,is this a good cannidate for a rebuild or should i find an older motor?someone mentioned an engine which was cured i have the defination of what it means to cure an engine ,all advice welcome.

It's a proven block, so I'd rebuild it. When people talk of blocks being known for having no defects such as casting shifts, out of spec factory machine work or lack of nickel content, they normally call them seasoned. Haven't heard the term cured.

micheal t.thanks for your words of wisdom,
i think seasoned and cured are probably the same.
i havent had any major prblems with the engine .
just the problem electrical,with my truck,
my gauges dont work properly all the time.
