Hey there guys and gals. I'm new to the forum, Looks good and looks like theres a lot to read in here. I'm just wondering about some of the basics on the sport trac.

are front end parts interchangable for the Sport track and basic explorers? more specifically Bull Bars / Brush Guards / Skid Plates

the 4.0L engine...is it the same used in Rangers and even the new v6 mustangs

when looking at the used market are there certain things to look for specifically on the sport track?

If your looking for a '07 ST I would get the 4.6 V8. For the 1 or 2 MPG difference in mileage you will be more happy with the power and extra towing ability. I think most Explorer acc. will fit. The 4.0 V6 is new for 07 but I would imagine that the older ones are the same as the Ranger / Explorer. I've had mine for 8 months now and so far it is GREAT!

 

I looked at the 07s today and theyre a bit out of my price range, but i came across a beautiful 02 with under 30k on the clock for a decent deal. leather interior, tonneu cover, well maintained. etc. so i'll probably be getting that. I was really just more curious about weather front end acc. fit. stuff like bull bars/grille guards, as well as motor accessories.
